RESOLUTION NO. _____ - 2018

AUTHORIZATION TO CONTRACT WITH FABICK CAT FOR THE EMERGENCY REBUILD OF THE GENERATOR RADIATOR AT THE LAW ENFORCEMENT CENTER

Background: Buildings Services originally contracted with FABICK CAT to perform maintenance on the Law Enforcement Center generator radiator that developed a leak. In performing the maintenance repair to the generator radiator, it was discovered that the radiator needed to be removed and overhauled do to numerous leaks in the radiator. Due to back up generator costs and lead-time on a new radiator it was cost prohibitive to purchase a new radiator for the facilities generator. The radiator was removed and sent to the FABICK Madison shop for necessary repair. A temporary 800KW generator was ordered and delivered to be the back-up generator at the Law Enforcement Center. Hill’s Wiring was contacted to temporarily wire the back-up generator into the facilities transfer switches. Hill’s Wiring then removed the temporary wiring after the radiator was repaired and replaced on the roof of the Law Enforcement Center.
