Purpose

To sell tax deeded property to the Town of Spring Green

Background

Background: Sauk County took a tax deed on this property on October 17, 2017. Pursuant to Wis Stat. § 75.69 and Sauk County Code § 43.03(8), the County is authorized to convey tax delinquent property to a municipality before offering the same to the general public.   The Town of Spring Green has agreed to purchase the property for $1,909.44.  That is the amount that the county has invested in this property (includes taxes, interest, penalties, tax deed service charge and eviction notices).  The Town will also be responsible for the payment of the 2017 real estate taxes.

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors met in regular session, that the Sauk County Clerk be and hereby is authorized and directed, upon timely receipt of $1,909.44 to issue a quit claim deed to the Town of Spring Green for the below described property:

                       

TOWN OF SPRING GREEN WISMAR FOREST LOT 2 (Parcel #032-0411-00000)

                                                                               

AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town of Spring Green will assume and pay the 2017 real estate taxes.

 

            For consideration by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors on December 19, 2017.
