                          (2) CTH V, Town of Winfield

From the Reedsburg City Limits to the Barbra Ann Dr Intersection

 

Sauk County Highway Department is soliciting proposals from qualified professional engineering consulting firms to provide two Speed Studies as follows:

 

  • CTH DL, in the Town of Baraboo, Sauk County. The speed study will be from the STH 113 intersection to 1 mile east of the Old Lake Rd intersection. The major concerns are bikers, pedestrians, and vehicles entering and exiting Devils Lake State Park located within the study area. It is anticipated that at least 3 data collection locations should be included in the proposal.

 

  • CTH V in the Town of Winfield, Sauk County. The speed study will be from the Reedsburg City Limits to the Barbara Ann Dr. intersection. In this study area, there is a safety concern with vehicle speeds and pedestrian use from the Reedsburg Middle School to the Subdivision located on Barbara Ann Dr. It is anticipated that at least 2 data collection locations should be included in the proposal.

 

 

The speed studies shall be completed by the end of 2022 and shall include recommendations for speed limits, traffic signage to ensure the safety of citizens living, working, and using the area for recreational purposes, as well as the traveling public, and any documentation needed for WisDOT approval/concurrence with signage and speed limit changes.  Data collection on CTH DL should be done during the summer season to account for summer use of Devils Lake State Park.  Data Collection on CTH V should be done during the school year to account for student use. Consultant shall include a cost estimate within a $5,000 range for each bridge project.  Please submit a proposal no later than 4 pm.
