Citizen Focus Groups for Budget Planning

SAUK COUNTY TO HOLD CITIZEN FORUMS

BARABOO, WISCONSIN; April 4, 2014 - The Sauk County Board of Supervisors and its Finance Committee invite county residents to participate in a series of citizen forums being held throughout the county.  Participants will be asked to consider the most important work that Sauk County Government should undertake and what is important to them.  In response, issues and concerns brought forward will assist the County Board to establish program priorities and the 2015 Sauk County budget.

The forums are designed to facilitate two-way communication about four functional county service areas: 1. Justice and public safety, 2. Health and protection of vulnerable populations (i.e. aging, children, developmentally disabled, mentally ill, economically disadvantaged), 3. Transportation (highway, airport and multi-modal transportation), and 4. Conservation, development, recreation, arts and education.

Forums will be held on four consecutive Thursdays at 5:30 p.m.: Reedsburg Public Library, 370 Vine Street on April 24; West Square Building, Room B30, 505 Broadway Street in Baraboo on May 1; Ruth Culver Community Library, 540 Water Street, Prairie du Sac on May 8; and Spring Green Community Library, 230 East Monroe Street on May 15.
