The Solar Sauk County Program
Somewhat inspired by the County solar PV system, the non-governmental Solar Sauk County program (community buy) was created. Participants in the program surpassed its goal of adding 200 kilowatts (kW) of solar PV across the county more than twice over. The program achieved a total capacity of 448 kW on 67 properties.
The Sauk County solar PV systems combined with the Solar Sauk County program added a total of 1,127 kilowatts (kW) of solar in the county. That is enough capacity to offset the electrical use of about 110 typical homes.
