West Baraboo Man Arrested on Several Charges

On April 16, 2013, the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 202 Cedar Street in the Village of West Baraboo. As a result of the search warrant, Christopher A. Kratz, age 24, was arrested and incarcerated in the Sauk County Jail. Kratz is charged with two counts of Burglary, Theft Of A Firearm, Felon In Possession Of A Firearm, Theft, and two counts of Criminal Damage To Property.

It is alleged that Kratz entered more than one residence in the West Baraboo area and took items which included currency, sports memorabilia, a firearm, and other items.

If convicted, Kratz could face a fine of up to $165,000,or imprisonment of up to 48 years, or both.
