Warrant/Drug Arrest - Lake Delton

On September 28th, 2018, the Beloit Police Department requested assistance from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office in locating a person wanted for an armed robbery that had taken place in Beloit. Information received was that the suspect, James E. Reed Jr., 38 years of age, was believed to be in or around the Lake Delton, Sauk County, Wisconsin area. Detectives with the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office assisted.

Reed was located at a motel in the Village of Lake Delton at which time Reed fled out the rear window of the Motel room and stole a bicycle. Sauk County Detectives gave chase and were able to capture Reed and take him into custody.

During a search of Reed, a large baggie containing separate bags containing 32.4 grams of Heroin, 14.8 grams of Cocaine as well as Suboxone was discovered in his pants pocket. The approximate street value of the heroin and cocaine is $4000.00 and $2,200 respectively.

Reed was transported to the Sauk County Jail. He is facing charges of Possession of between 10-50 grams of Heroin with Intent to Deliver, Possession of between 5-15 grams of Cocaine with Intent to Deliver, Criminal Damage to Property as well as an arrest warrant from Beloit for Armed Robbery and an arrest warrant from Juneau County for Failure to Appear for Court on a previous criminal charge.
