July 12, 2012

On July 12, 2012 at 1:34 A.M., the Sauk County Sheriff’s Department received a call of a one vehicle rollover accident on USH 12 in the south bound lanes of the “Sauk Hill” just north of Groth Road in the Town of Sumpter.

A vehicle being operated by Timothy S. Oleson, age 39 of Prairie du Sac, was southbound on USH 12 when he lost control of his vehicle and rolled it over several times on the roadway.

A passenger and owner of the vehicle, Lisa L. Pahlow, age 43 of North Freedom, along with Oleson, was ejected from the vehicle and found outside the car upon arrival of rescue personnel.

Oleson was taken to University Hospital in Madison by Med Flight for head and internal injuries. Pahlow was transferred to University Hospital by Sauk Prairie Ambulance for head and internal injuries.

It is believed that excessive speed, inattentive driving and the use of intoxicants by Oleson were contributing factors to the accident. The accident is still under investigation by the Sauk County Sheriff’s Department. Sauk City Fire assisted at the scene.
