Traffic Crash on City View Road
News Release
October 31, 2019
On October 31, 2019 at approximately 5:00 pm, The Sauk County Communications Center was notified of a two-car traffic crash on City View Road .1 mile east of Jefferson Street in the Township of Baraboo. The initial investigation indicated that a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee was westbound on City View Road and was operating over the center half of the roadway. At the same time, a 2012 Chevy Cruz was eastbound on City View Road when the two vehicles collided head on.
Two passengers from the 2012 Chevy Cruz were transported by Med Flight due to the nature of injuries. The operators of both vehicles received minor injuries and were not transported. Speed and alcohol are not suspected to be factors in the crash.
The Baraboo Fire Department, Baraboo District Ambulance Service, Dells-Delton Emergency Medical Services, Sauk County Highway Department and UW-Madison Med-Flight assisted the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Sauk County Reconstruction Team.
