STH 33/CTH V Crash
April 3, 2011
***FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE***
On April 3, 2011 at approximately 3:00am the Sauk County Communications Center was notified of a two vehicle head on crash on STH 33 and CTH V in the Township of LaValle. Sheriff’s Deputies, LaValle Fire and First Responders, and Reedsburg Ambulance were immediately sent to the scene.
The investigation revealed that a 2004 Dodge Caravan, operated by Danial R. Page, age 35, of Rock Springs, WI was eastbound on STH 33 and crossed the centerline striking a westbound 2007 Pontiac, operated by Jessi L. Meyer, age 24, of LaValle, WI. Meyer and her infant child were transported to Reedsburg Area Medical Center by Reedsburg Ambulance. Page was transported to Reedsburg Area Medical Center and then to UW Hospital in Madison by Reedsburg Ambulance.
Meyer was wearing her seatbelt and the infant was properly restrained in a child safety seat. It is unknown at this time if Page was wearing his seatbelt. Page has been charged with Causing Injury By Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated.
