Sauk County DA Files Charges in Interstate Shooting

On May 4, 2016, the Sauk County District Attorney’s Office filed charges on Zachary T. Hays, age 20, of West Allis for one count of First Degree Intentional Homicide and three counts of First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.  This was a result of a shooting incident that occurred on I90/94 near the Wisconsin Dells/Lake Delton area on May 1, 2016.

 

First Degree Intentional Homicide is a Class A Felony and upon conviction, Hays shall be sentenced to imprisonment for life.

 

First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety is a Class F Felony and upon conviction, For each count, Hays may be fined not more than Twenty Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00), or imprisoned not more than twelve (12) years and six (6) months, or both.
