OWI - Prohibited Alcohol Content arrest
On Saturday, June 26th, 2021 at approximately 6:55 PM a deputy with the Sauk County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop that resulted in the operator of the vehicle being arrested. The stop was made on County Road HH near the intersection with DNR Road in the township of Dellona.
The deputy conducted the traffic stop on a 2016 Nissan Altima for a traffic violation. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Vincent Compton, age 29 of Mauston. During contact with the Compton the deputy noted signs of alcohol impairment. Compton's driving status was revoked due to previous operating while intoxicated offense and he was subject to a .02 blood alcohol content restriction. As a result of the traffic stop, Compton was arrested for operating with a prohibited alcohol content, 3rd offense. He also received numerous traffic citations as a result of the traffic stop.
