On February 23rd, 2020 at approximately 1:09 PM a Sauk County sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop on Lakeview Avenue near Main Street in the Village of Merrimac.
The deputy made contact with the operator of a 1999 Dodge Ram who was identified as Robert Bingham, age 55 of Merrimac. During the contact the deputy noted signs of impairment from Bingham. Bingham submitted to field sobriety testing and was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, 7th Offense. Bingham was transported to the Sauk County Jail.
