On Tuesday, February 14th, 2023 at approximately 11:42 PM the Sauk County Sheriff's Office Communications Center received a report of a possibly intoxicated subject traveling on USH 12 in a vehicle.
A Sauk County Sheriff’s Office Deputy located and stopped the vehicle on USH 12. The deputy made contact with the driver of the vehicle who was identified through Wisconsin ID card as Stephen Sitton, age 39 of North Freedom, WI.
While in contact with Sitton the deputy noted indications of impairment. The deputy asked Sitton to submit to field sobriety testing. As a result of the deputies observations, Sitton was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, 5th offense. Sitton was transported to the Sauk County Jail and transferred to the custody of jail staff without incident.
