On Monday, December 27, 2021 at approximately 3:30 AM, a deputy from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Department observed a vehicle not stop at the stop sign on 5th St and Furnace St in the village of Ironton. The deputy stopped the vehicle and made contact with the operator who was identified as Billy Jo Blaha, age 44 of Lavalle.
While speaking to the operator, the deputy observed signs of impairment. Blaha was asked to do field sobriety tests and as a result of those tests, Blaha was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, 5th offense. That charge is being referred to the Sauk County District Attorney’s Office.
