On November 11th, 2020 at approximately 9:30 PM the Sauk County dispatch center received a call regarding a traffic complaint on Highway 113 in the township of Merrimac. The caller stated that the suspect vehicle was all over the roadway and traveling at varying speeds.
A Sauk County deputy located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the township of Sumpter on Highway 78. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Joy Clay, age 55 of Baraboo. During the contact with Clay deputies observed signs of possible impairment and field sobriety testing was administered. As a result, Clay was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, 4th offense.
