On September 6th, 2001 at approximately 2:30am the Sauk County Communications Center received a call reference a male subject who had crashed a scooter in the Village of West Baraboo. A deputy arrived in the area, and located Anthony J. John, age 47 of Baraboo near the intersection of Linn Street and Mulberry Street.
An investigation into the incident found that John was operating a 2020 Zhejiang TaoTao Scooter when it crashed. John was ultimately arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, 4th Offense and released to a responsible party.
