On Friday, November 26, 2021 at approximately 11:41 PM the Sauk County Communications Center was notified of a vehicle parked in the ditch on County Highway H by Birchwood Road in the Township of Delton.
The operator of the vehicle was identified as Eleanor Kiefer, age 79 of Wisconsin Dells. During contact with Kiefer the deputy noted signs of impairment. The deputy learned that Kiefer had 2 prior convictions for Operating While Intoxicated. Kiefer was placed under arrest for Operating While Intoxicated 3rd offense. Kiefer was transported to the Sauk County Jail.
A charge of Operating While Intoxicated 3rd offense will be referred to the Sauk County District Attorney's Office.
