On Thursday, July 20th, 2023 at approximately 7:00 PM, a Deputy from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Carpenter Street near STH 136 in the City of Baraboo. The Deputy made contact with the operator, who was identified as William B. Alexander, age 68 of Baraboo.
While speaking with Alexander, the Deputy observed signs of impairment. Alexander was asked to perform field sobriety tests. As a result of those tests, Alexander was placed under arrest for Operating While Intoxicated 3rd Offense.
Charges of Operating While Intoxicated 3rd Offense, Operating While Revoked, Fail to Install IID, and Speeding are being referred to the Sauk County District Attorney’s Office.
