On Sunday, January 1, 2023 at approximately 1:57AM, a Sergeant from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Tower Road near Bluff Road in the Township of Greenfield. The Sergeant made contact with the operator, who was identified as Thomas P Vanschoyck, age 25, of Baraboo.
While speaking with Vanschoyck, the Sergeant observed signs of impairment. Vanschoyck was asked to perform field sobriety tests. As a result of those tests, Vanschoyck was placed under arrest for Operating While Intoxicated 3rd Offense.
Charges of Operating While Intoxicated 3rd Offense, Operating while Suspended, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping are being referred to the Sauk County District Attorney’s Office.
