OWI 3
On Friday, September 23rd, 2022 at approximately 2:30 PM the Sauk County Communications Center received a driving complaint on USH 14 in the Township of Spring Green. The vehicle was located on USH 14 at STH 60 and a traffic stop was conducted.
The operator of the vehicle was identified as Robert Schmitz, age 33 of Cross Plains. While in contact with Schmitz the deputy observed signs of impairment. Schmitz was requested to submit to field sobriety testing and as a result of those tests, was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated - 3rd Offense. Schmitz was transported to the Sauk County Jail.
A charge of Operating While Intoxicated - 3rd Offense will be referred to the Sauk County District Attorney's Office.
