On Friday, August 20th, 2021 at approximately 1:12 AM a Sergeant with the Sauk County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on North Maple Street in the Village of North Freedom.
Upon contact with the operator of the 2006 Chevrolet Silverado who was identified as Cory Evans, age 32 of North Freedom, the Sergeant detected signs of impairment. Evans was requested to perform field sobriety testing and as a result was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, 3rd offense.
Evans was transported to the Sauk County Jail and was eventually released to a responsible party.
