Operating While Intoxicated 6th Offense Arrest
NEWS RELEASE
OWI 6TH OFFENSE ARREST
On Friday, August 28, 2020 at approximately 12:06 a.m., a Sauk County Sheriff’s Office deputy was on routine patrol when he observed a vehicle in the ditch on STH 23 near Highland Road in the Town of Westfield. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Anthony F. Skibba Jr, age 37, of Madison, Wisconsin. During the deputy’s contact with Skibba, Skibba admitted to and displayed signs of recent alcohol consumption. Field sobriety tests and a preliminary breath test indicated that Skibba was impaired and unable to safely operate a motor vehicle. Skibba has 5 prior Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) convictions.
Skibba was arrested for OWI 6th Offense and transported to the Sauk County Jail. The charge of OWI 6th, a felony, has been referred to the Sauk County District Attorney’s Office.
