Lyndon Station Man Charged with Theft

On May 18, 2011, the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jason J. Bertram, age 31, from Lyndon Station for Damage To Public Utilities and Theft. Bertram admitted to Sauk County detectives that in the early part of May he “clipped” the ground wires from several Alliant Energy poles in the Township of Excelsior. Bertram then sold the wire at a local recycling center.

If convicted, Bertram could receive an imprisonment of up to 4.3 years or a fine of up to $20,000, or both.
