Local Man Arrested on Firearms Charges

News Release

On 12/24/10 at 2:42pm the Sauk County Communications Center received a call regarding a male suspect threatening two other people inside a residence on Terrytown Road in the Township of Baraboo. It was reported that the suspect was intoxicated and had a firearm. Deputies responded and were able to contact the suspect and take him into custody and secure the firearm without incident. The suspect was identified as Christopher P. Hasenstein, age 48, of Baraboo.

Hasenstein has been tentatively charged with the following:

• Going Armed with a Firearm While Under the Influence of an Intoxicant
• Intentionally Pointing a Firearm at Another (2 counts)
• Disorderly Conduct While Using a Dangerous Weapon/Domestic Abuse
• False Imprisonment (2 counts)
