Happy Hill Road Crash

On November 5, 2011 at 10:45pm the Sauk County Sheriff’s Department received a call of a one vehicle accident on Happy Hill road just west of Forrest Drive in the town of Baraboo. A vehicle being operated by ANGELICA D. SETTLE, age 16 of Loganville, left the roadway on Happy Hill road in a sharp corner striking some trees. The operator and four other occupants received non-life threatening injuries with 4 of them being transported by Baraboo Ambulance to St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo. The driver SETTLE went by private vehicle. One juvenile occupant was later transferred to University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison for injuries she sustained in the accident. The driver, SETTLE was cited for driving too fast for conditions. All occupants of the vehicle but one was wearing seat belts at the time of the accident. It is believed that speed and the lack of driving experience were contributing factors to the accident.
