May 29, 2011
On May 27, 2011, a former Wisconsin Dells man, Joshua A. Pridgeon, age 21, who now resides in Riverdale Illinois, was arrested on multiple felony charges as a result from a traffic stop in the town of Reedsburg. Pridgeon was operating a 1994 Chevrolet east bound on CTH H when Pridgeon was stopped for an equipment violation. Pridgeon was accompanied by four juveniles from Reedsburg in the vehicle. Pridgeon, who has a previous criminal history of possession of marijuana, apparently handed over to a 10 year old male juvenile in the vehicle a baggie containing marijuana and a loaded .22 caliber revolver to hold so the officers would not find them on him. The vehicle was searched by the K9 unit of the Sauk County Sheriff’s Department and other drug paraphernalia was found to include marijuana pipes, baggies, a digital scale and some unknown white pills.
Pridgeon was arrested for possession with the intent to deliver THC, endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, leaving a loaded firearms with easy access to a child, recklessly endangering safety 2nd degree, no valid driver’s license for a 2nd offense, no proof of auto insurance, possession of drug paraphernalia and an active warrant out of Monroe county for a previous drug conviction.
Pridgeon was taken into custody and transported to the Sauk County jail and is currently waiting for a felony bond hearing on Tuesday.
The four juveniles in the vehicle were released to their mother at the scene.
