CTH H Crash

On Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at about 9:42 p.m., the Sauk County Communications Center was notified of a 2 vehicle head on crash. The crash occurred on CTH H at South Ave. in the township of Dellona. The Sauk County Sheriff’s Department as well as Reedsburg Fire and Reedsburg Ambulance responded to the call.

The initial investigation revealed that a Northbound Honda Accord, driven by LOCKSLEY DRAVES, age 18, of Wisconsin Dells, drifted off of CTH H onto the gravel shoulder. DRAVES lost control of his vehicle and crossed the center line and was struck by a Southbound GMC Pick-up, driven by SETH MURNANE, age 26, of Reedsburg.

DRAVES was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from his vehicle. He suffered life threatening injuries and was transported by helicopter to UW Hospital – Madison where he was pronounced dead as a result of the injuries sustained in this crash. MURNANE was wearing a seatbelt and suffered non- life threatening injuries.

Alcohol use does not appear to be a factor in the crash and the incident remains under investigation by the Sauk County Sheriff’s Department.
