CTH A Crash

     On February 7, 2014 at 11:25 AM the Sauk County Communications Center received a call of a two vehicle traffic crash on CTH A at the intersection with CTH T/Bunker Road in the Township of Delton. Delton Fire, Dells/Delton Ambulance Service, Village of Lake Delton Police Department, and the Sauk County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene. The first officer on scene reported that there were five (5) people injured; therefore Baraboo District Ambulance was also requested to respond.

     The initial investigation revealed that a van being driven eastbound on Bunker Road had proceeded across CTH A from the stop sign at Bunker Rd. The van drove into the path of a northbound car on CTH A. The northbound vehicle struck the eastbound van.

     The van was driven by Frederick K. Dogbatsy, age 31, of Menominee, WI. The van was occupied by three passengers,  Etta Paasewe, age 26, of Minnesota, Naomi Jackson, age 25, of Minnesota, and Rosemond Tanoh, age 27, of Minnesota.  All four van occupants were transported to St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo.

     The car was driven by Debra L. Hanger age 56, of Baraboo. Debra was transported to Reedsburg Area Medical Center.  There were no other passengers in the car.

     This crash remains under investigation by the Sauk County Sheriff's Office. Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in this crash.  Frederick K. Dogbatsy will be charged with Failure to Yield Right of Way from a Stop Sign as well as Operating After Suspension 6th offense.
