Crash Injures Five, One Critical

On April 19, 2016 at 6:55 A.M. the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle crash on STH 33 in the Town Of Greenfield.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 26-year-old male from Baraboo was operating a 2006 Honda Odyssey van westbound on STH 33 at CTH X.  The van crossed the center line while rounding a curve and entered the ditch on the south side of the road.  The van continued through the ditch and struck a utility pole.

The operator along with three passengers, ages 27, 5, and 19 months were injured and transported to St Clare Hospital in Baraboo.  A fourth passenger, age 3, was critically injured and transported to UW Hospital by Med Flight.

The crash remains under investigation by the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Baraboo Fire Department and Baraboo EMS.
