Casino Disturbance

**Special News Release**

June 28, 2011

On June 27, 2011 at approximately 9:50pm Sauk County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Ho-Chunk Casino for a subject that was disorderly with Casino staff over a credit card issue.
Deputies arrived to find the subject sitting in his vehicle playing extremely loud music in front of the main entrance to the Casino. Deputies attempted to talk to the subject; however, he began to accelerate the vehicle, causing the tires to spin, smoke, and squeal. The subject then pulled away and began to make multiple turns around the center island outside the main entrance. There were numerous patrons around, making this a very dangerous event. Deputies placed spike strips down in an attempt to stop the vehicle. The suspect did stop, but resisted Deputies efforts to take him into custody. The suspect was controlled with the use of an Electronic Control Device (Taser) and was taken into custody.
As a result of this incident, Charles M. McNeil, age 49, of Bellevue, NE, was incarcerated in the Sauk County Jail and charged with Second Degree Reckless Endangering Safety, Obstructing an Officer, and Resisting Arrest.
