Burglary Arrest

On July 31st, 2020 at approximately 5:17 p.m., the Sauk County Communications Center received a call about a theft of electronic items from a storage shed in the Township of Delton.  A Sauk County Sheriff’s Office Deputy arrived at the storage shed and began processing the scene. All but one of the stolen electronics were recovered in the woods near the storage shed. The victim provided a description of a female they observed walking away from the area of the storage shed prior to the Deputy’s arrival. Deputies began checking the area for this female.

A female matching the description given by the victim was later located walking on foot southbound on CTH BD near Shady Lane Road. The female was identified as Jamie L. Fanning, age 35 of Baraboo. Fanning was found to be in possession of the one missing electronic item reported stolen from the storage shed.

Fanning was arrested for burglary, felony bail jumping, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Fanning was transported to the Sauk County Jail.
