Burglary

BURGLARY – TOWN OF MERRIMAC

 

On January 7, 2018 at approximately 10:55 p.m., the Sauk County Communications Center received a burglar alarm from Charlie’s Lakeside Store located at E12965 STH 78-113 in the Town of Merrimac.  A Sauk County Sheriff’s Office Deputy arrived at the convenience store within minutes and observed signs of forced entry to the business.  The Deputy observed a truck departing the area and initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle.  A passenger of the truck fled on foot.  The driver and another occupant remained in the truck.  Items located inside the truck indicated the truck and occupants had been involved in the burglary.

The driver of the truck was Nicole L. Ziegler, age 18 of rural Mazomanie, WI.  The passenger remaining in the truck was Jacob R. Hellenbrand-Bell, age 20 of Waunakee, WI.  The suspect who fled was not located and has been identified as Jared N.R. Stoltz, age 19, last known address of De Forest, WI. 

Ziegler and Hellenbrand-Bell were incarcerated at the Sauk County Jail and charges including Burglary-Party to a Crime will be referred to the Sauk County District Attorney’s Office.
