Armed Robbery

On August 28, 2017 at approximately 11:50am the Sauk County Communications Center was notified of a report of an armed robbery of two victims that had just taken place in the Village of West Baraboo.  It was reported that two suspects approached the two victims at gun point and stole a purse.

The victims were able to provide Deputies and Detectives with descriptions of the suspects and a vehicle description that included a partial license plate number.  A Sauk County Dispatcher was able to use that information to obtain a license plate number that returned to the vehicle matching the description of the vehicle given by the victims.  In addition, information was obtained that the suspects attempted to use a debit card that was stolen from one of the victims at a local gas station near Bluffview Estates in Sumpter Township.

Deputies and Detectives responded to the area of Bluffview Estates and located the suspect vehicle parked at one of the trailers.  Contact was made with the trailer occupants and the two suspects were taken into custody without incident.  A search warrant was obtained for the residence and vehicle and the stolen debit card and suspected firearm used in the robbery was located.

As a result, William L. Harris, age 24, of North Freedom, WI was arrested for Armed Robbery and Unauthorized Use of an Individuals ID, and Dejhone D. Stubblefield, age 25, of Chicago, IL, was arrested for Armed Robbery.  Both subjects are incarcerated in the Sauk County Jail and additional charges may be forthcoming.
