Armed Robbery


**Special News Release**

April 23, 2011

On April 23, 2011 at approximately 10:20 am the Sauk County Communications Center was notified of an armed robbery in the parking lot of Ho-Chunk Casino. Sheriff’s Deputies were immediately sent to the scene.
     The two victims, a husband and wife, reported that a male black individual approached them in the Casino parking lot, displayed a hand gun, and demanded their money. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victims were not injured.
Witness reports and Casino Surveillance provided a description of the suspect and vehicle. Additionally, another witness was following the suspect vehicle eastbound on I90/94 toward Madison. This description was broadcast to area Law Enforcement Agencies.
     Wisconsin State Patrol and the Dane County Sheriff’s Department intercepted the suspect vehicle on CTH V and Interstate 90/94 near Deforest. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and turned over to the Sauk County Sheriff’s Department. The suspect was identified as Thomas Brock, age 20, of Madison, WI. Brock was incarcerated in the Sauk County Jail on charges of Armed Robbery.
