A public information meeting will occur on Thursday, February 9 to discuss the design for the rehabilitation of the WIS 60 bridge and approaches over the Wisconsin River near Prairie Du Sac in Sauk and Columbia County. The meeting will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Prairie Du Sac’s Village Hall, 335 Galena Street, Prairie Du Sac, WI, 53578.

 

The proposed project will make improvements to the WIS 60 bridge over the Wisconsin River, resurface the approaches to the bridge, and repaint the steel girders. This project is 0.21 miles in length which includes 756 feet of structure and 375 feet of approaches. The department is considering either replacement or removal of the sidewalk along the south side of the bridge.

 

Construction is currently scheduled for 2016.

 

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project.
