Senior Farmer's Market Checks are still available! Our distribution dates have passed, but we still have a limited number of checks available. Stop into the office to sign up soon, we anticipate them going fast!

Each summer, the ADRC helps distribute the Senior Farmer's Market Nutrition checks. These checks are provided to seniors by the USDA to encourage them to shop at local farmer's markets and to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. Eligible households receive $25.00 in checks which are spent just like cash at approved farmer's markets and farm stands.

To qualify, you must be a resident of Sauk County and over the age of 60 (or age 55 if you are Native American), and your annual income must be below $23,107 for an individual or $31,284 for a couple.

We have a limited number of checks and they will be given out on a first come serve basis.

If you are unable to pick up the checks yourself, you may send a proxy (a person you give permission to pick up the checks for you). The proxy must have a signed note from you and may pick up checks for no more than four people. The proxy will be filling out the application for you so make sure they know your date of birth, address, phone number, and that you qualify for the checks.
