Public Health Board

Members Absent : A. Delong, M. Brown, D. Stehling,

Others Present: C. Bodendein, C. Warwick, B. Konkel

The meeting was called to order at 5:40 p.m. by Stoeckmann with Krueger participating to create a quorum. Certification of the open meeting law was noted.

Moved by Clement, second by Haugen to approve the agenda with business items reversed. Motion carried.

Moved by Stehling second by Haugen, to adopt the minutes of the June 10, 2009 Public Health Board meeting. Motion carried.

Communications: Bodendein distributed The Flu, Next Time from Homeland Security Today Magazine.

Public Comment : None

Business Items for Discussion and/or Action:

•  Discussion of 2010 Form 1 and program ranking sheet discussed. It was noted that grant allotments have not been given to the Health Department from the Regional Office.

•  Preliminary results of the Home Care Medicare certification and state survey presented to the board by Warwick . Unable to give a complete report as the not information on citations were not given at exit interview.

•  Motion by Clement, second by Haugen to increase the foot clinic rate to $ 23.00 per appointment. Motion carried.

Department updates:

•  Financial and monthly reports reviewed.

•  Motion by Haugen, second by Clement to approve the June 2009 invoices of $32,732.36. Motion carried.

•  WPHA/WALHDOB Legislative Update by Haugen

•  Mr. Lowell Haugen was congratulated by the public health board upon receipt of the 2009 Board of Health Member of the Year Award.

•  Home Care State survey Results

•  Set immunization rates

•  Statistics on causes of death in Sauk County and Wisconsin

Motion by Clement, second by Kriegl to adjourn. Motion carried. The time was 6:45 p.m.
