Members Excused: Fabisiak

Others Present: Orth, Brattset, Box

Chair Alexander called the meeting to order and certified compliance with the Open Meeting Law.

Motion by Sinklair, seconded by Stoeckmann to adopt the agenda. Motion Carried.

Motion by Dippel, seconded by Fordham to approve minutes of the previous meeting with one correction. Add Schauf to Others Present: Motion Carried.

Business Items:

A. Review and Approval of Monthly Vouchers: Box distributed the monthly voucher report and reviewed the report, noting that Salary and Benefits decreased $107,679.09. This was due to how the pay periods fell. Contracted Labor increased $5055.55 due to an overall increase in mental health services compared to last month. Administrative increased $5,999.61 due to an increase in expenses for supplies and education and training. Community Living & Support Services increased $2,948.41 due to an overall increase in respite expenses. Community Residential decreased $36,870.60. There were several placements that ended in foster care, group homes, CBRF's and Adult Family Homes. We also paid less for Shelter costs this month. Community Treatment decreased $25,918.58. We made our payment to CESA 5 last month which we did not have this month. Income Maintenance increased $8,008.37 due to an increase in funeral and crematory expenses. W2 increased $1,129 as we paid the quarterly Children's First payment to CWCAC. Motion by Stoeckmann, seconded by Bowers to approve the vouchers in the amount of $998,406.69. Motion Carried.

B. 2010 Budget Request: Orth read through the budget narrative for 2010. He then went through the County Levy Summary sheet. We then reviewed the 2010 Budget Worksheet and went through the highlighted lines. Outside Agency requests were deferred until the next meeting. Motion by Bowers, seconded by Stoeckmann to approve the budget request in the amount of $261,430 (does not include Outside Agency requests). Motion Carried.

Department Updates:

A. Intoxicated Driver Program Contract: The Department is preparing a RFP. The target date to get this out is 9/1/09 to have this change take place effective the beginning of the year. The service will still be delivered from our office as we will have the software to submit the information to the State.

The next meeting of the Sauk County Human Services Board is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 4:00 p.m.
