Meeting called to order by County EM Director, Corene Sklar in EMBS meeting room
Sklar attended a presentation by Paul McGraw, with the Dept of Animal, Trade and Consumer Protection on the response to an animal outbreak of avian influenza or foreign animal disease. He will be doing this same presentation for Sauk on Wednesday, May 24. It is 1 - 1 ½ hours and will begin at 6:00 p.m. in rooms B24/B30 of the West Square Building. A mailing has been sent out on this.
Emergency Mgmt and Public Health will be going to hospitals to explain roles during a flu pandemic. The bill for MABAS has passed and fire departments are encouraged to use this.
All county Emergency Management offices will start on regional planning next month.
Evacuation routes were discussed; anything that happens in the County, Emergency Management has to call the duty officer to report.
Information from the Governor's Conference is included as part of the handouts.
New first responder smart card program which is geared toward people with cognitive or developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's and other conditions that require special care.
There is a Responder Knowledge Base to provide Emergency Responders, purchasers, and planners with a trusted, integrated, on-line source of information on products, standards, certifications, grants, and other equipment-related information.That website is www.rkb.mipt.org/.

Village of Lake Delton will be having a tabletop exercise on May 9, involving fire, police and EMS.
North Freedom will be having a tabletop on May 15.
The Town of Delton now has a 5 member Board.
