    Muchow stated that he has received complaints regarding too much stone in the treated sand spread on the highways.

    1. Review and Approval of Vouchers. Discussion followed. Motion by Sinklair, seconded by Meister to approve November 2005 bills in the amount of $ 6,705.90 .
    2. Approve Firewood Cutting Permit. Discussion followed. The Committee advised Koenig to investigate the County's liability in the matter with Corporation Counsel and the Safety Risk Manager.

    5. Appearance by Acting Sauk County Administrative Coordinator Kathy Schauf to Discuss Current Issues for County Departments. Discussion followed. Schauf discussed issues she is working on such as increasing interdepartmental communications.

    6. Appearance by Baraboo City Administrator Edward Geick to Discuss Relocation of Onyx Waste Services Transfer Station to New Site and Proposal of Incinerator Purchase. Discussion followed. City interested in relocating Onyx to Pit Road land. This is the only place the Department has to get rid of stumps. City may purchase incinerator...then Highway may be interested. City will bring more information to next meeting.

    11. Discuss Possible Uses for Sauk County Owned Land Located at West Baraboo

    12. Discuss Construction of Salt Shed at Prairie Du Sac Facility. Discussion followed.

      Base is complete. When weather cooperates, they will need approximately 2 weeks of construction to complete.

    13. Discuss 2006 WCHA Winter Conference. Discussion followed. January 23, 24, & 25, 2006 at the Kalahari. Sauk & Columbia Counties are co-hosting the event.

      Motion by Meister, seconded by Sinklair to award Onyx Waste Services Midwest, Inc. the bid for Baraboo and Reedsburg facilities and Peterson Sanitation the bid for Prairie Du Sac & Spring Green facilities for Garbage and Recycling Services for 2006.
