Management Information Systems Committee Meeting Minutes

DATE: January 14, 2004

The MIS Committee was called to order at 5p.m., Wednesday, January 14, 2004. Members present were: Netzinger, Stoeckmann, and White. Guest: Schauf. Meeting called to order by Stoeckmann. Motion to adopt agenda by White, seconded by Netzinger. Agreed on by committee.
Motion carried.

Motion to approve last month's committee minutes by White, seconded by Netzinger. Agreed on by committee.
Motion carried.

Communications - None.

Policy for posting Artists Registry - Schauf explained draft form of policy - the work displayed will be chosen by a jury process. She is looking at other organizations to compare how this is done. One example is the River Arts Center in Sauk City. She will find out if there are written standards. Sauk County's jury would be the Arts and Humanities Committee members. The photos will be displayed on website and only Sauk County artists will be represented. Corporation Counsel Hendee's concern is that there is not a published set of standards. Schauf will do the research on this. To be included on website is contact information. No pricing for art works or links to outside sites will be available. Pate doesn't believe any action needs to be taken at this time.

2003 Projects & Budget - Pate handed out an outline of projects that are complete, in process or pending.

MIS Dept. Update -

• PC replacement - 170 in 2003, just a few left to install from last year
• Register of Deeds - TriMin installed. Bailey needs to make decision about what records need to be archived.
• Health Care Center - Administrative changes will allow upgrade of technology. Stoeckmann made a request that Pate attend an Oversight Committee meeting to give an update on the state of technological issues at Health Care Center. Stoeckmann then wants results to be put on agenda.
• Back-up teams in MIS - Pate explained the rationale behind this
• MUNIS online - ready to go, waiting for MUNIS to complete their end
• P & Z application - almost done with this project, database brought together 15,000 records. Working out details.
• Sheriff's Dept. and EMBS will be able to use this database when project is complete.
• Melyx upgrade - Melyx is in the process of converting data
• MIS office move - working on furniture quotes with mid February as projected time, Data Center will be moved in Summer over a weekend.
• Help calls down
