The County Board met as a Committee of the Whole at 5:00 p.m. in the Board Room for a presentation by Jenny Erickson, Sauk County UW- Extension Community Natural Resources Economic Development Educator, regarding the Sauk County Strategic Planning process, (compiled by Mark Hilliker and Jenny Erickson, Columbia County and Sauk County UW-Extension Community Natural Resources Economic Development Educators, respectively).

• 6:00 p.m. Convene Public Hearing: To provide the citizens of Sauk County an explanation of the Community Development Block Grant for Economic Development (CDBG-ED) program, program goals, and the application process along with a discussion of the economic development needs of Sauk County and to receive citizen input relating to the potential application:
  For up to $268,500 in CDBG-ED funds to be loaned to the Griesen Family Dairy, LLC. The funds will be utilized by Griesen Family Dairy to purchase 525 cows, creating seven (7) new full time positions.

  3.) Continued appointment of Dean Steinhorst on the Baraboo Range Commission, served on this committee while also serving as an elected official to the City of Baraboo. Mr. Steinhorst is no longer an elected official of the city but will continue to serve on this committee as a citizen member.)
