PRESENT: Williams, Giebel, Montgomery, Carlson, Wenzel, R. Williams, McAuliffe, Evenson, Johnson, Vinet, Mueller, Radke, Gruber, Hafermann, Prantner, Bodette, Gary Foot, Sharon Cherek, Cady, Green and R. Steinhorst

The meeting was properly posted and all interested parties notified.

Giebel made a motion, second by Montgomery to adopt the Agenda.
Motion, Carried.

Carlson made a motion, second by Giebel to approve the Minutes of the previous meeting.
Motion Carried.

Sharon Cherek and Gary Foot of the Lions Club appeared to discuss possible work release programs to assist in maintenance for Camp Rusholt, the Lions Camp. The Lions Club has had similar programs using facilities such as Oxford State Correctional, Columbia County, Rawhide, and Portage County. Foot explained the Camps function and stated that they always need help with maintenance and cutting firewood.

Cherek explained the Lions Eye Glass Recyclable program which are shipped all over the world. Cherek stated that if the Jail had the available space for the program, he would deliver the used eye glasses, train inmates and staff in cleaning and sorting the glasses, and come pick up the eyeglasses. Hafermann stated that he would like to try the program, with permission from Captain Prantner which he was given at that time.

Judge Evenson briefly spoke about community service, and stated that he would check into surrounding county programs and report back at the January 2004 Judiciary Meeting.

Ken Cady also spoke regarding community service for Juveniles. Cady stated that the County already has programs with SCAN and Shelter Care, and was interested in the Lions Eye glass Recyclable program for juvenile offenders.

Jacky Bodette from Commission on Aging stated that there are always retired people stopping in at the Agency looking for Volunteer work, that might possibly be interested in assisting in community service programs.

Giebel made a motion second by Wenzel to approve the following monthly vouchers:

Child Support's monthly vouchers in the amount of $4,486.17

District Attorney & Victim Witness' monthly vouchers in the amount of $2,117.34

Circuit Court's monthly vouchers in the amount of $365.11

Clerk of Circuit Court's monthly vouchers in the amount of $22,678.77

Register in Probate/Juvenile Clerk in the amount of $1813.06

Court Commissioner's and Family Court Counseling Mediation in the amount of $2,596.30.
Motion Carried.

Giebel made a motion, second by Williams to adjourn to Thursday January 15, 2004 at 8:30 a.m. in Branch I Jury Room.
