  1. Meeting called to order by Bychinski at 8:15 a.m.. Certification of compliance with Open Meeting Law was met.
  2. Adopt agenda: Motion by Hartje, second by Wenzel to approve agenda. Carried.
  3. Adopt minutes: Motion by Hartje, second by Wenzel to approve minutes of last meeting. Carried.
  4. Communications: None.
    1. Review tower sites: Tim Stieve & Phil Raab reviewed the sites.Reviewed status of the Delton site, HWY 60 Site, Hillpoint, Bear Creek and the Pointon tower sites. No specific movement on any of these sites since the last meeting.
  5. Hemlock Park Tower site. It was discovered that that the access road is not actually on the County property and we will most likely have to either purchase or obtain an easement from the Owner (Owners - Randy & Peggy Bradley). Discussion followed. It was determined that the best solution is to purchase the piece of property necessary to own the access road. The piece of property that we would need to purchase is 0.32 acres. Moved by Hartje, 2nd by Wenzel to offer $1000. Motion Carried. It was noted that the trees at the site are being cut and the roadway to the tower site will be in shortly at which time we should be able to get the soil borings completed.
  6. Courthouse Tower. It was noted that Nextel would like to partner with Sauk County to put a new tower on the courthouse. The detail of a contract have not been received but the suggestion from Nextel is that they would take care of putting up the new tower and they would pay the costs associated with this. They would receive space on the tower rent free until such time as their capital investment was returned at which time they would pay monthly rent at a rate of $1200. Discussion followed. It was noted that we needed to do some more checking with the City of Baraboo on what requirements hey may have. Move by Wenzel, 2nd by Hartje that we move forward with working with Nextel. Motion Carried. It was noted that a resolution authorizing the committee to move forward should be drafted for the December County Board Meeting.

Phil Raab reported still waiting for word from the State Frequency Coordinator, Carl Guse, for approval to turn on the Lavalle Site.

Next meeting scheduled for Wednesday January 7th, 2004 at 8:15 a.m. at the

EOC Meeting room, Sauk County Courthouse.

Motion by Hartje, second by Wenzel to adjourn. Carried.

Respectfully submitted by: Timothy R. Stieve
