Homicide Suspect In Custody

On Wednesday, January 23rd, 2019, at about 1:30 AM, the Sauk County Sheriff's Office was notified by the Madison Police Department that they had located and arrested Homicide suspect, Robert M. Pulvermacher.

Information received from the Madison Police Department was that a plow driver saw a person get dropped off at or near Pulvermacher Carthage on Manufacturers Drive, and reported it as suspicious.

Madison Police responded and investigated, locating fresh footprints in the snow leading to the business door, and then moving to a row of bushes where they located the suspect, who when asked who he was identified himself and said that Law Enforcement was looking for him. He was taken into custody without incident.

Pulvermacher was medically cleared for jail at a Madison hospital, and custody was transferred to Sauk County Detectives, who transported him to the Sauk County Jail on the outstanding Homicide Arrest Warrant. 

Detectives attempted to interview Pulvermacher about the Homicide, but he refused to discuss the incident.

Pulvermacher remains in custody at the Sauk County Jail pending a bail hearing.

The Sauk County Sheriff's Office is pleased that Pulvermacher is now in custody and is grateful for all the assistance provided by the Madison Police Department throughout this investigation and search for the suspect.
