*Generally, to be eligible for these veterans’ benefits, a veteran must have served on regular active duty for 2 years if entered service after 1980, or 90 days during a wartime period; or in a military “hot spot”; or have been awarded the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.
In addition, to qualify for state benefits, you must have entered the service from Wisconsin or have lived in the state for 12 months.
