Canoeing & Kayaking

Discover some of Sauk County’s “water playgrounds” by paddling through the winding rivers and lakes. The Baraboo River is the perfect watershed to paddle. It is a free-flowing river and is the longest stretch of U.S. river restored through dam removal. The river also hosts a race for canoeists and kayakers, with experience level ranging from beginners to advanced paddlers. To learn more about the Baraboo River, click here.
