Prenatal Care Coordinator


Prenatal Care Coordination (PNCC) is an important service available (at no charge) to pregnant women who are eligible for Medical Assistance, Healthy Start and any pregnant teens.

These services include:

  • Verification of pregnancy
  • Assistance with medical assistance application
  • Identification of needs and services
  • Assistance with finding a physician
  • Nutritional counseling and WIC referral
  • Quit smoking support using "First Breathe"
  • Social support throughout pregnancy
  • Answer to questions about pregnancy
  • Labor & Delivery information
  • Breast-feeding advice
  • Information on care of a newborn

EARLY SIGNS OF PREGNANCY:

  • Missed menstrual period and tender, swollen breasts
  • Having to go to the bathroom more often
  • Vomiting or feeling sick to your stomach
