Prenatal Care Coordination (PNCC) is an important
service available (at no charge) to pregnant women who are
eligible for Medical Assistance, Healthy Start and any
pregnant teens.
These services include:
- Verification of pregnancy
- Assistance with medical assistance application
- Identification of needs and services
- Assistance with finding a physician
- Nutritional counseling and WIC referral
- Quit smoking support using "First Breathe"
- Social support throughout pregnancy
- Answer to questions about pregnancy
- Labor & Delivery information
- Breast-feeding advice
- Information on care of a newborn
EARLY SIGNS OF PREGNANCY:
- Missed menstrual period and tender, swollen breasts
- Having to go to the bathroom more often
- Vomiting or feeling sick to your stomach
