This program provides health and nutrition assessments, nutrition education and supplemental foods for:
- Pregnant women
- Breastfeeding women
- Postpartum women
- Infants
- Children under 5
Eligibility for the program is determined by family income and individual health and nutrition risks. To see if you are income eligible, please call our office at (608) 355-4320 or (608) 355-3290 or check income guidelines.
You may fill out the online application or download the application and email it to jsmidl@co.sauk.wi.us, bring it to our office, or send it to us.
How WIC Works….
The WIC staff cares about you and your children. They will provide:
- Breastfeeding support, education, warm line, and access to breast pumps.
- Individual guidance for you and your family's eating for good health.
- Checks to buy foods that help keep you nad your children strong and healthy such as:
* Milk, Eggs, Cereal, Whole Grains
* Peanut Butter, Dried or Canned beans and peas
* Fruit juice, Fresh, Canned and Frozen Fruits & Vegetables
* Baby foods and infant formula
- Help getting immunizations and lead screening for your child or infant
- Referrals to doctors, dentists, public health nurses, and programs like Food Share, BadgerCare, Prenatal Care Coordination, and Head Start
Sauk County WIC offers clinics in the following Cities throughout the month:
- Baraboo: West Square Building, 505 Broadway (room B24)
- Reedsburg: Trinity Baptist Church, S 3205 Golf Course Road
- Prairie du Sac: St Vincent De Paul Community Resource Center, 1906 North Street
